Construction of 350 Mtr. long coastal cargo berth at Old Mangalore Port

The implementation of a coastal berth at Old Mangalore will serve to advance coastal shipping as a cost-effective and efficient means of cargo transportation within the country. Additionally, it will facilitate the movement of coastal cargo and offer shelter to barges and vessels along the Karnataka Coast.

Capital Dredging at Old Port Mangalore (Bengre)

The envisioned Dredging Operation project at Old Mangalore Port holds the potential to enhance connectivity in the Coastal Karnataka region and generate employment opportunities for the local population. Port Upgradation at Karwar Port – Installation of Firefighting Equipment at Karwar Port, Karnataka

The installation of firefighting equipment which will enable the port to handle Class B Petroleum Products is necessary in a bid to upgrade the existing infrastructure of the port and increase its potential.

Development of Waterways on Kali River (NW-52) in Karwar Karnataka

The proposed project of waterways between both points presents an opportunity for the tourists visiting one district to experience the serene waterways and traverse to another tourist destination.


The developed infrastructure shall also help the passenger traffic to move between both the points with no added costs.

Integrated Development of Tadadi – Aghanashini Waterway in Kumta Taluka of Uttar Kannada District

Provide vehicular connectivity between Tadadi and Aghanashini. Reducing transit time between Tadadi and Aghanashini from approximately 70 minutes to 10 minutes. Promotion of Coastal/Water tourism in the state & attract high-end tourist footfalls. Provide tourists & residents of the state with the opportunity to experience luxurious water-based tourism activities.

The Development of waterways on Gurupur holds the potential to significantly enhance tourism and increase the number of visitors to the region.
